Storm Rider

Storm Rider by Beth Genson, Encaustic Oil, 10 x 10 x 11/2

Encaustic Oil on Panel 10" x 10" x 1 1/2" Sold

Storm Rider, 10x10 – Since fracking began, over 2,747 wells have been stimulated to produce the oil and gas sought, and each well has brought back a toxic, radioactive soup of harmful chemicals and "proprietary" chemicals which may be the most toxic and are mostly uncharacterized because they are not supposed to come in contact with living organisms.

The Heavens and Earth -  Through my encaustic paintings I will show the beauty of the shale layers that contain the natural gas and oil in the earth, the water that carries life and joy throughout the region, and the atmospheric beauty of the sky containing the air we breathe…The Heavens and Earth – all in jeopardy due to the practice of fracking.    25% of the proceeds from sales of the paintings will benefit the Freshwater Accountability Project, an Ohio-based nonprofit.

I require that buyers outside the continental USA contact me first for shipping information.
